DUO RACHMANINOV

The two pianists Loredana Pelle and Raffaele Impagnatiello form the Duo Rachmaninov.

It has been recently constituted as a result of a musicological research which aim it was to discover the less known repertoire for two pianos. On the other hand, both pianists have followed the same educational path concerning the musical formation.

The latter is of the highest importance for a really good chamber music formation: the technical coherence and above all the same aesthetic idea in the interpretation make the base for a truly important project.

Both pianists graduated from the Music High School (Piano) with the best grade (summa cum laude), and at the same time built their academic career, graduating in Musicology with the highest final score (110 cum laude) at the Department of Literature and Philosophy of the University of Rome – Tor Vergata.

The Duo's purpose is to discover and convey the huge and important repertoire for two pianos, which developed from he second half of the 19^th Century on.

For his début the Duo has been invited by the Festival “Campus delle Arti” in Sangemini to perform works by Medtner and Poulenc, obtaining remarkable results, by “critique” and public likewise.

Currently the Duo studies with Maestro K. Bogino, famous pianist and member of the prestigious Trio Tchaikovky with whom the Duo had the opportunity to study at the Pianistic Academy “Incontri col Maestro” in Imola.
